Q: Is the story true? Did Charlie kill all those kids?
A: YES!
Q: Is it really haunted? And was it really a school?
A: YES and YES! It was a real public school for Cincinnati and opened up in 1894.
Q: Are there ghost tours? Can my paranormal group come through for an investigation?
A: Currently there are no ghost tours. If you are a paranormal group looking to do an investigation please contact us through our contact page.
Q: What is included with every ticket?
A: Whether it be the general admission or the FAST PASS... every ticket INCLUDES 2 attractions! The main attraction- The Dent Schoolhouse and an intense military themed maze called Detention Hall.
Q: How long does it take to go through?
A: This really depends on how fast you can run! The Dent Schoolhouse is one of the most detailed haunted attractions and we suggest you take your time to see everything. On average the walkthrough time for The Dent Schoolhouse is 25-35 minutes. This makes it one of the longest haunts in Cincinnati!
Q: How long is the wait?
A: This changes from night to night. We recommend that you purcahse your tickets online! This allows you to walk right into the line for the attraction instead of having to wait to purchase your tickets on-site and then have to wait to go through the attraction.
Q: Can we take flash photos of your haunted houses?
A: NO! The Dent Schoolhouse is a very dark attraction and everyone especially the actor’s eyes adjust to the low light. When you flash your camera you are temporarily blinding the eyes of the actors. If you are media related please contact us so that arrangements and photos ops can be arranged.
Q: Will the actors touch us?
A: You will not be grabbed or touched by any actors unless it's an accident or heightens the scare. Our actors are highly trained and professional. They will not touch you inappropriately or in sensitive areas.
Q: Does the Dent Schoolhouse change from year to year?
A: YES! The haunted attraction goes through more upgrades and changes than any other haunted attraction around! Detail, animatronics, new sets, and new technology are added each year to insure that The Dent Schoolhouse stays the #1 Scariest haunt in the Cincinnati Tri-State area.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The Dent Schoolhouse and Detention Hall will stay open.
Q: Is the attraction handicap accessible?
A: The first part of the house is not handicap accessible due to steps. The basement of the schoolhouse and the rest of the attraction is. Please contact us before hand so that proper accommodations can be made.
Q: Does your attraction have security?
A: The Dent Schoolhouse has a fully trained security staff that keeps watch over you and our workers. We also have two Sheriff's crossing guests across Harrison Ave. The school has night vision cameras that watch over the house.
Q: Can we be thrown out of the Dent Schoolhouse?
A: YES! We do not tolerate foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, alcohol, drugs, etc. This is done for your safety and the safety of our workers. If warned and the problem proceeds the guest could be asked to leave without a refund.
Q: Do you sell food, beverages and souvenirs at your attractions?
A: YES! We sell everything from food to Dent T-shirts. Bathrooms are available as well.
Q. What is the age requirement to get in?
A. We have no age restrictions. We've had kids as young as five go through and come out with a smile while grown men have come out screaming and crying. It all depends on the persons' upbringing and threshold for fear.
Q. How many actors are in the house at one time?
A. We have the most actors in our attraction than any other single haunt in Cincinnati! We have between 40-55 actors scaring you each night. Don't be fooled by numbers from other haunts. Unlike them, we do not include security, personnel, and concession workers into our head count.
